For this year’s UM South Florida Alumni Annual Dinner, we are proud to feature Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, MD, FAAP (’98 SEAS, ’08 MPH). Dr. Mona was featured in the Spring 2016 Michigan Alumnus cover story titled “The Hero of Flint’s Water Crisis.” Her book, “What The Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Renaissance and Hope in an American City” details Dr. Mona’s experience uncovering the lead-poisoning epidemic caused by a switch in Flint’s water supply. The New York Times has named “What The Eyes Don’t See” as one of the 100 Most Notable Books of 2018.
This event will be catered by The Farmer’s Table, Boca’s highly-rated farm-to-table restaurant, in its Event Center at the Wyndham Boca Raton resort.
